Guildford is a bustling market town with a contemporary cathedral, world-class sports facilities and extensive shopping and entertainment.
If you enjoy shopping Guildford will feel like paradise, with many household names in the compact town centre and the Friary Shopping Centre. The huge branch of Primark is particularly popular with cash strapped students! You’ll find plenty of affordable places to eat (cheeky Nando’s, anyone?) along with lively central pubs and quieter places down by the riverside. If you want to be more active, the Spectrum leisure complex has four swimming pools, a bowling alley and an Olympic size ice skating rink.
