Southampton is a thriving city with a vibrant social life.
Southampton is a wonderful mixture of old and new. In the city centre you will see the remains of the old medieval walls alongside the modern WestQuay shopping and leisure complex, which has a huge multiplex cinema and an abundance of shops and restaurants on the one site.
The city is also unusual in that it has so many lovely green parks running through its bustling centre. In the summer months students gravitate to these areas with their picnic lunches and cool drinks.
